Children's Laughter

There was a church on Newport Ave that had a playground with children playing in it. It was probably a day care center, I assumed. In this recording, one can hear the sound of toddlers running around and yelling out of merriment. Since they were making so much noise, I figured it would be a decent sound to capture. Enjoy.

Ding Dong

I was near Prospect ave when I heard the church bells ring. There was a lot of traffic passing by. Once I heard the bells, I decided of course not to move any further but just stay there and collect that sound. I was basically in the neighborhoods along Prospect yet near the busy street of Kenwood when I heard the sounds. Enjoy.

"Caw Caw"

I was on Locust street near the "Roast Coffee Company" shop when I heard various noises but the most distinctive of them was the loud chirping of some nearby birds. They would chirp every thirty seconds. In between the chirping, one can hear people's voices and cars passing by. It is clear that Locust is a busy street. How I basically recorded this was I walked for a bit on Locust until I heard something interesting which was the birds so I stayed in one spot and let nature take its course.  Enjoy.

Crunchy Leaves

I was walking along Farwell and came upon a huge pile of leaves. It was really quiet at the time so I figured stepping on them would give me a good sound. One can hear the crunching sound that leaves give after being stepped on. I stepped in the leaves for a good five minutes. Enjoy.

I scream, You scream, We all scream for ice cream!

This is where I heard the ice cream truck playing its music. I was on Farwell near this church. The street was extremely quiet at the time. There wasn't a whole lot going on except for occasional people in the neighborhood driving by or just talking. Eventually, I heard the faint sound of some music playing. It progressively got closer until I realized it was music from an ice cream truck. Because this would make an awesome recording, I decided to just stay in one spot and record the ice cream truck as it passed by. This was recorded on September 27th at one in the afternoon. Enjoy.

Drift Strategy

My drift strategy was overlaying the map of Boston on Milwaukee. According to my map of Boston, I was to go around the Boston Commons and other streets surrounding it. I started at East Kenwood Boulevard and followed the map of Boston, only on the streets of Milwaukee, the best that I could.
